KUWAIT CITY, July 25: The General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics continues its crackdown on drug dealers and smugglers. In a recent operation, authorities arrested 21 people in 16 cases and seized about 20 kg of various narcotics, including chemicals, methamphetamine, marijuana, hashish and heroin. In addition, about 10,000 psychotropic pills, 178 bottles of alcohol and 43 electronic cigarettes containing narcotic marijuana were confiscated, along with cash from the sales.
The arrested persons admitted that the seized items were intended for trafficking and abuse. They along with the confiscated items have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action. This operation is part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat the distribution of drugs and psychotropic substances.
