On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, scholar Arun Kundnani spoke with Dr David Landy from the Department of Sociology about contemporary Islamophobia. Dr Ronit Lentin moderated the conversation.
Kundnani of New York University has written about race, Islamophobia, political violence, and surveillance. He is the author of “The Muslims Are Coming! Islamophobia, Extremism, and the Domestic War on Terror.”
The talk was part of the conference ‘Understanding anti-Muslim racism in Ireland and exploring community-based responses.’ The event was organised by the Department of Sociology at Trinity College Dublin in partnership with ENAR Ireland, the Migrant Rights Centre, SIPTU, Canal Communities Regional Youth Service and AkiDwA.
