It’s always fun on Spotify, especially when new songs appear on Spottann Friday. Yesterday, the talented Ásdís Athena from Hvammstanga released a new song, but it’s called Adriana and it’s upbeat and catchy.

Some would even venture to say there’s a bit of Eurovision vibes floating around. At least the song is very different from the songs on Ásdía Athena’s Break Apart EP, released last year, but it’s marked by drama and melancholy.

The song was written by Guðmundur Helgason, who is also from Hvammstangi. In a Facebook post, he said that this was the first real musical collaboration he had been involved in. “I wrote the song last year and this spring I asked Jacky Garratt to write the lyrics and Stephanie Nicole Be to help with the melody. Ásdís Athena was then asked to sing a demo for fun and it went so well that it was decided that she should release the song. Sæunn Anna Sæmundsdóttir sang the song with great sportsmanship,” said Guðmundur, adding: “This song is perfect for Pride Week, which is about to start, as Girl Meets Girl For example, turmoil from longing and desire. The texture of eitis does not destroy everything. ”

You can listen to this song on Spotify, but it’s called Ásdís by Asdis Athena > https://open.spotify.com/album/65QrZMYd1yWO5DE6meByJy?fbclid=IwY2xjawEaLTtleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHb1SWSO-Y2l69w5OaJntDI62E2ftdVP7Hk0F2dUqi-Px 0bIlVuKDVTKy7w_ aem_hb6-d6tQ2-SHCil0ZyRVgw
