We caught up with young Aruban triathlete Dylan Gill in Miami after competing in Barbados. He shared his training experiences and recent competitions and talked about his next steps, which include a swim camp in Davie, Florida and another camp and competition in the Dominican Republic. His long-term goal is to represent Aruba in the Olympics.
Dylan focused on improving his landing and riding (whichever area was weaker) and sought to increase his time and personal income in each care area.
Dylan recently competed in the World Triathlon in Puerto Rico and another in Barbados, finishing seventh despite being the youngest competitor. As already mentioned, he will be heading to the Dominican Republic for another training camp and competition. In August, he will represent Aruba at the Carifta Aquathlon, Triathlon and Mixed Relay Championships in Barbados.
Dylan thanks his supportive parents for their support and for financially supporting him when he travels overseas and for transporting his bikes and all his products.
