St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The outgoing Director General of the National Disaster Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Abdias Samuel, has urged residents to take precautionary measures as a tropical disturbance is expected to develop and affect St. Kitts and Nevis.
Speaking to The Voice, Samuel confirmed that the Prime Minister held a meeting with key stakeholders today to get an update on the preparations.
He also outlined the status of the shelters, saying they were ready to take in residents if necessary.
Furthermore, Samuel assured that the utility company is well prepared to deal with the potential impact of the disaster.
