As Padrino López said, the PUD believes that the FANB will fulfill its responsibilities on June 28

The executive secretary of the United Platform, Omar Barbosa, confirmed on Thursday that the opposition coalition is confident that all the Nationalist Party forces that will participate in the Republic Program on the day of the presidential election will fulfil their duties as established by the Constitution.

“It is important that we have confidence in the institutional performance of the FANB and we ask citizens to respect the FANB and strive to cooperate with all its members. We believe that they will do what they should do, not only because the Secretary of Defense himself says so, but because we feel it,” he told Roman Lozinsky.

On Wednesday, July 24, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López said that whoever loses the July 28 elections must accept this reality and rest in peace.

“What will we do? We will wait for the results of the decision of the people through the CNE, as provided for by the Constitution within the framework of the Republican Project, and that’s all. “He who wins should take charge of his government project and he who loses should leave,” he said at the July 24 event. “That’s all”.

On the other hand, Barbosa said, “a great deal of solidarity has been generated” because the vast majority of the country’s people want change.

“All of us who agree with this change are united for the first time in years.”

He urged that this continue beyond July 28: “This high level of unity must be maintained because we must provide political stability for change, unity is necessary to rebuild Venezuela and provide a strong political base for the next president.”

Furthermore, he recalled that the Unified Platform had appointed a negotiating delegation coordinated by Gerardo Blye, who was the person authorized to communicate with the official representatives.
