“It is no coincidence that we are talking about strengthening the defense industry,” Tusk told a news conference in Warsaw alongside Modi.

“We in Poland are ready to participate in the modernization of military equipment.”

Poland has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters since the Russian invasion in 2022, while India has remained neutral.

Still, officials said cooperation in the defence industry was top of the agenda during the first visit by an Indian prime minister to Warsaw in 45 years.
