National Security Advisor Qassem Alagi and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed security relations with Turkey and Iran.
“National Security Advisor Qassem Alagi discussed this Saturday evening with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein the most prominent security challenges facing the region, in addition to discussing the path of security relations with both Turkey and Iran, as well as the importance of continuing cooperation in the interests of Iraq and the security and stability of the region,” the National Security Advisor’s media office said in a statement.
The meeting also “reviewed the outcomes of the recent visit of National Security Advisor Qassem Alaji to Brussels, and his meetings with NATO leaders, which strengthened the prospects for cooperation between Iraq and NATO and ways to advance them, and enhance Iraq’s security capabilities through a continued partnership in areas of cooperation,” the statement said.
