Libreville, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The members of the platform, led by spokesperson Joachin Mbatchi Pambo, went on a political outing to discuss the main ills that undermine Gabonese society.
The meeting gave them the opportunity to examine the political life of the country. “Returning to the review of the large amount of political news, we will focus on explaining our position on the debate between the factions that invite a vote ‘yes’ and those that favor a vote ‘no’ during the upcoming referendum,” said Mr. Mbazi Pambo from August 9.
The referendum, by its structure, is not about choosing people, it is about choosing a format that will lay the foundation for our constitution and then, to recall, it is not a question of not giving early term priority over any candidate who may or may not have been announced in the presidential election.
“The choice here depends only on the Constitution, on the Basic Law, which, like any human work, may have some inadequacies. The Basic Law, like any rule, will evolve according to the revisionist demands imposed on the country by the order of our political life and the history of our peoples, and today’s reality will not be tomorrow’s reality,” he added.
And continued: “The reality and political history of our country tell us that the source of the deep vacuum we encounter in various sectors of our country is not the few flaws and gaps contained in our various legal texts. No, there is no legal text that promotes the outburst tribalism that is rampant in our country.”
Jockey Mbazi Pambo insists that the evils that undermine Gabonese society are not documented anywhere in his opinion. “No, there is no law that legalizes political corruption and nepotism. No, no, there is no text in the Constitution, in the Penal Code, that says that embezzlement is a way to get rich. No, no, no, there is no text that says that the Republic is divided into different territories where there are dignitaries and other elders who are responsible for managing the social progress of other citizens,” he insisted.
Finally, Angonje called on members to invite the entire political class to commit to the important work of supporting the transition process. “It will eventually lead to the organization of free and transparent elections, which will put an end to the CTRI as head of state. We want to maintain logic and coherence, but above all, we invite the entire country to respond to the call of patriotism and respond to the sacrificial act of turning away from political problems and ambitions. It is about depriving oneself of a code of honor, a clear discourse and a commitment made freely,” he concluded.
