In Brooklyn, New York, a 24-year-old Uzbek man was arrested on suspicion of murdering four family members: his mother, his brother’s wife, and their two young children. Reporting CBS.

The victims were identified as Mavluda Fayziyeva (56), Maftuna Hakimova (27), Kamila Shavkatova (5) and Timur Shavkatov (4). Their bodies were found stabbed on Friday evening. When the suspect’s brother returned home and found his wife, two young children and their mother with stab wounds in the apartment, he called the police.

According to witnesses, the suspect first left the building but then returned and yelled, “I’m innocent, arrest me, not me.” He was taken away in handcuffs and is expected to appear in court on Sunday.

It is understood that the family came to the United States in 2007. They have been living in an apartment in Brooklyn for the past ten years.
