The incident took place at Kazan Airport when an Aeroflot plane bound for Antalya collided with a tugboat.
According to the information on the airport display, flight SU794 will take off at 16:30 instead of the originally scheduled 10:10 (Moscow time). “The specific circumstances of the incident are being clarified. The fuselage of the aircraft was damaged, but there were no casualties,” said an official statement from the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
The scheduled flight will be operated by a standby aircraft. While waiting for departure, passengers will be accommodated in the airport terminal and provided with the necessary services in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and airline standards.
“Drinks and meals will be provided,” Aeroflot said. A video of the incident was posted on the Baza Telegram channel. The recording shows how the pusher towed the plane, which collided with the car without stopping. According to the channel, the incident occurred due to a failure of the locking bolt.
