France has condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Gaza schools where war displaced people have taken refuge, calling them “unacceptable”.
According to AFP, the French Foreign Ministry issued a press release today (Wednesday) saying that the attacks should be investigated.
The latest attack took place yesterday at a school in the Khan Younis area, where at least 30 civilians were reportedly killed.
This is the fourth school attacked by Israel in recent days, which has triggered an international response.
Israel launched a large-scale operation in Gaza last October after Hamas, a group the United States and the European Union label as terrorists, launched attacks on Israel, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping 250.
Since then, more than 38,200 civilians have reportedly been killed in Israeli military attacks.
Israel has largely disputed its actions and said it targeted militants hiding among civilians.
