Ali Akatlı, one of the former national basketball players, has died at the age of 76.
The Turkish Basketball Federation issued a message of condolences on Akatel’s death.
The message read: “We learned with great sadness that one of our former national team basketball players, Ali Akatel, passed away. As the Turkish Basketball Association, we wish God’s mercy on the deceased and express our condolences to his relatives and family members of our basketball community.”
Ali Akatel also played for Galatasaray and Karsiyaka during his career.
