Yesterday, the national under-20 youth football team arrived in Taif to participate in the Diyar Arab Championship (the 3rd West Asian Youth Championship) hosted by the Saudi Football Federation. The competition will be held from June 25 to July 5, 2024. A total of 12 teams will participate, divided into three groups.
The team delegation includes 23 players, namely: Nahyan Al-Hilali, Hamad Al-Menhali, Youssef Al-Marzouqi, Saif Al-Kaabi, Saeed Amer, Hamdan Basuidan, Ali Al-Saffar, Abdullah Hassan, Ghaith Suhail, Muhammad Al-Bannai, Mohammad Al-Mansouri, Suhail Al-Baloushi, Amer Al-Farsi and Hazem Mohammed, Obaid Busma, Meyed Adel, Issa Abdullah, Ahmed Nasser Al-Obaidli, Mohammad Nasser Al-Obaidli, Mohammad Bouziri, Rashid Al Mazrui and Faisal Fahim.
Al Shabaab will face the Bahrain national team next Wednesday at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Group 3, which also includes Syria and Palestine, and the first team in each of the three groups, in addition to the best second-placed team, will qualify for the semi-finals.
