Oman’s Al Amerat FC will participate in the 2024 World Cup Winners Cup Alghero, which will be held on the beaches of Alghero, Italy from September 17 to 22, 2024. Al Amerat FC announced the news on its official social media accounts after its recent successful participation in the Moscow Beach Soccer Cup.

In an official tweet on its Twitter account, Al Amerat Club said: “Al Amerat Club will participate in the 2024 World Cup Winners Cup in Alghero. This is one of the top world events in beach soccer. Participating in this event is part of the club’s competition with the top teams in the beach soccer world. The club will strive to achieve the highest results in this top competition and gain the most experience after its recent successful participation in the Moscow Beach Soccer Cup.”

Al Amerat recently won third place in the Moscow Beach Soccer Cup, drawing huge crowds, and they beat Senegalese club Yoff 4-2 in the third and fourth play-offs.

Al Amerat Beach Soccer started strongly at the 2024 Moscow International Cup by defeating Argentina’s Boca Juniors 7-4. They then followed that up with an 11-1 win over Kazakhstan’s Mala Isyari in the second round of Group A. They then lost 5-1 to defending champions Lokomotiv Moscow in their final group match. Al Amerat FC finished the tournament in third place with a 4-2 win over Senegal’s FC Jouf.

The 2024 Moscow International Cup will be held in Moscow, Russia from August 1 to 5, with a total of 8 international beach soccer clubs participating, including: Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Malassiari (Kazakhstan), Strogino (Russia), Corinthians (Brazil), Gol Gol Sabz (Iran), Juventus (Senegal) and Al Amerat. Al Amerat is in Group A with Lokomotiv Moscow, Boca Juniors and Malassiari, while Group B includes Strogino, Corinthians, Gol Gol Sabz and Juventus.
