AFRIKA KOMMT! is an initiative of leading German companies for future leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa. The scholarship program is aimed at highly qualified young professionals and junior managers from Sub-Saharan African countries who have many years of work experience, strong leadership qualities, and a high level of commitment and dedication.
The core of the program is an eight-month internship at a German company, where participants will be able to:
- Gain first-hand practical experience at leading German companies
- Expose leadership concepts and management skills in practice
- Familiar with the working process and business culture of German companies
- Expand its international management capabilities
- Establishing a network of cooperation between Sub-Saharan African and German companies
Qualifications/Experience Required
- University degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science/IT, Business Information, Communications, Economics, Human Resources, Industrial, Mechanical, Process, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Marketing, Medicine, Pharmacy, Physics, Product Management, Sales, Social Sciences, Supply Chain Management
- Graduate degree (e.g. MBA) preferred
- Two to five years of relevant work experience
- Excellent English language skills
- French, Portuguese and German preferred
- Possess intercultural competence, be open to new experiences abroad and be willing to learn German
