The Helsinki Police Command Centre reported a traffic accident in Itäkeskus, at the intersection of Kehä 1 and Itis Shopping Centre.
The accident involved a car and a van, and according to police, it was a sideswipe. As a result of the collision, the van flipped on its side.
According to the police command center, one of the drivers of the two vehicles was injured and has been sent to the hospital. At this stage, the control center has no information on which driver was injured.
According to police, both vehicles sustained sheet metal damage. Traffic is currently moving through the area, but there may be some disruption due to vehicles being driven off the road.
