The weather is affected by a large storm system that has formed to the west of our border. It continues to move in the northeast direction. This was noted by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) on social networks. According to meteorologists, isolated thunderstorms may also develop ahead of this storm system.
According to the portal, a storm began to form over the Alps on Friday afternoon, and it gradually expanded to form a large-scale storm system. imeteo.sk.
The storm system currently stretches from Germany across the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and into northern Croatia, with the meteorologists adding that the storm line is hundreds of kilometers long.
The main part of the storm system will pass through Moravia and will partially affect Zahori, Považ and other areas of northwestern Slovakia. Visitors to the Pohoda Festival should be careful as there is a threat of storms in the evening.
