A huge blow to Asian rivals Esteghlal and Persepolis

Al-Nasr’s main midfielder Sami Najai was seriously injured, reportedly with a torn cruciate ligament. This injury dealt a heavy blow to Al-Nasr before the Elite League group stage.

Considering that Nasr is one of the main rivals of Esteghlal and Persepolis in the Elite League and the second most expensive team in the group stage, Naje’s absence is a big challenge for the team.

Saudi Sports reports that Al Nasr FC does not have much time to find a suitable replacement and it seems almost impossible to attract a player of similar quality.
