A tourist from Germany suffered serious injuries after falling off a cliff on a trail in the Bucegi Mountains on Tuesday, hitting his head.
When mountain rescuers arrived, the woman was unconscious, in which case they requested a helicopter to intervene and pick her up.
The 42-year-old German tourist was hiking on the Bucegi Plateau when he slipped and fell on his head while climbing a rock near the Babele Hut. He suffered a head injury and is currently unconscious.
“Mountain rescuers on duty at the Baba Mare rescue base quickly intervened to help her. Given the seriousness of the situation, we requested the Brasov Aeromedical Operation Point to send helicopter No. 336 to intervene.”notified the representatives of Salvamont Prahova on Facebook.
Medical personnel on the helicopter stabilized the injured woman and transported her to the Brasov County Emergency Hospital.
