Tegucigalpa – A seven-day-old child died in the last few hours from suspected dengue fever in the Copán department in western Honduras.
The incident took place in the New Arcadia neighborhood of the city of the same name.

“When I contracted dengue, I was just two weeks away from giving birth. The girl was born well, but two days later, the girl fell ill and was admitted to the hospital with dengue. On the 11th, they told me that she died yesterday. I took her out and took care of her. Today I am burying her,” said the mother.
The woman called for preventive measures as dengue fever was killing many people.
“There are many people with fever, body aches, headaches who are seeking treatment at hospitals so that what happened to me and my daughter does not happen to them,” he said with tears in his eyes.
According to the health department, about fifty people have died from suspected dengue fever across the country. and
