“Common sense tells us that they knew what was waiting for them before they died. They must have heard the sound of carbon fiber breaking when the water pressure built up. The submarine lost communications and power. Despite this, they continued to sink, knowing that the boat could not be rescued, so they were scared and terrified until the boat exploded.”

A representative for OceanGate declined to comment on the lawsuit. Nargeolet is an OceanGate employee and a member of the Titan’s crew. The lawsuit also criticizes the submarine’s electronic systems, which make all control equipment inoperable without a constant supply of power and a working wireless system.
