ST. KITTS AND NEVIS (WINN) – Taj Frederick, 26, of Crab Hill, Sandy Point, was arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The arrests were made following a routine stop and search operation conducted by officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Narcotics Unit on Monday, August 5, 2024.
During the operation in the southeast peninsula, police stopped and searched car PB2754. During the search, police found a 9mm pistol and five matching rounds of ammunition inside the car. The three occupants of the car were detained.
Frederick, who was driving the vehicle, admitted responsibility for the guns and ammunition on Wednesday, August 7. Two other unnamed people have been released.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force said it is committed to maintaining public safety and stressed the importance of daily operations to combat illegal activities within the community.
The community is encouraged to report any suspicious activity to authorities, creating a safer environment for all residents.
