Brian GurjianIn his final game with the Boomers, his team played both its most exciting basketball and its most wasteful.

Gurjian said he was proud of the way the team coped well despite public speculation about selection and consecutive group stage losses.

“You know, everybody has an opinion and an idea about everything you do,” Gurjian said.
“I just feel like every decision we make is for the betterment of the team and what we can do best for the Boomers, Basketball Australia and the country.
“I’m really proud of what we accomplished and really proud of how we performed in the tournament.”
Gorjian said selecting Ingles was the right decision, even though the veteran NBA forward played just 2:28 of the entire tournament. He was one of the last players selected, controversially ahead of NBA defensive specialist Matisse SableShe was a key player at last year’s Tokyo Olympics and World Cup.
