“Use requirements are extremely high”
Photos from the accident scene in the evening showed parts of the multi-storey half-timbered building had collapsed. Concrete rubble lay on the ground. A police report said: “Due to the damage, this was an extremely difficult operation as only emergency services could enter the building with extreme caution.”
There are about 250 rescue workers at the scene, including the fire department and the Technical Rescue Agency (THW), which includes special forces and search and rescue dog teams. Drones are also being used to inspect the accident site. It was not initially clear why the building partially collapsed. According to police, residents called the emergency line on Tuesday evening.

The fire department dispatched a large number of personnel to the scene.
