Lack of opposition MPs on parliamentary committees a stain on Botswana’s democracy

One of the most frustrating things about this parliament as we approach the end of the election is that during this parliamentary term, opposition MPs made a significant decision to stop sitting on almost all parliamentary committees except one.

This is really frustrating.

This has led many of us to question the depth of our democracy.

This decision by Parliament leaves many of us with no choice but to see the current government for what it is.
