Staff at Shone Primary School in Hadiya district said they had not received salaries for three months from May to July and that the hospital had stopped working.
The hospital’s medical director, Dr. Mohammaddin Ahmed, mentioned that he had asked his superiors for a salary increase for workers for several consecutive months, “but we have not received an immediate response.” He said.
VOA tried to get a response from the Hadiya District Government and the District Finance Office as officials did not pick up the phone, saying, “If you don’t come to the office in person, we won’t answer.” It was not included in this report.
