Plan to pave the road overnight

The City of Kelowna has announced another nighttime paving program that will begin on Thursday, August 8 and run through Monday, August 12.
The construction site is located on Baron Road, near Costco, between Leckie Road and Underhill Street. The construction time is from 8 pm to 6 am.
The road will fully reopen to weekend traffic from 6am on Friday, August 9 until 6.30pm on Sunday, August 11 to accommodate weekend traffic.
- August 8 & 9 – 8pm to 6am – Milling Baron Rd (Leckie Rd- Underhill St)
- August 11 – 6:30pm – 6am – Paving Baron Rd (Leckie Rd- Underhill St)
- August 12 – 8pm – 6am – Paving Baron Rd (Leckie Rd- Underhill St)
The City of Kelowna hopes to have the work completed by August 12, weather permitting.
The scheme aims to extend the life of the road, reduce long-term maintenance costs and provide smoother, safer journeys for motorists and cyclists.
