Republican groups opposed to Donald Trump are launching a new ad campaign in key states that highlights some of the former presidential voters who opposed him, The Huffington Post reports.

“He’s a felon,” said a woman named Beth, who voted for Trump twice in an ad by Republican Voters Against Trump.
She went on to say that Trump was not running for democracy but to get out of prison, and announced that she would be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris.
The group announced it would spend $3.5 million to have the five 30-second videos appear on streaming platforms in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, three states that could decide the outcome of the November election.
The group will place 69 billboards in those states featuring images of former Trump voters with the words “I’m not voting for Trump.”
Sarah Longwell, executive director of Republican Voters Against Trump, said in a press release that the former US president is expected to receive a large number of votes in the election.
“But now he’s feeling the heat from voters who have real concerns about his age, criminal record and undemocratic behavior,” she said. “Even for those who supported him in the past, these weaknesses are real — and alarming. We remind voters that there are better options, and that we cannot game American democracy by returning Trump to the White House.”
The group is asking for video testimonials from former Trump voters who want to explain to the world why they won’t support his run for the White House.
Kamala Harris wipes out Donald Trump’s progress
Trump trails Harris in four of six national polls released on Tuesday and Wednesday and leads in two. Harris leads by 4 points in the Civiqs poll, 3 points in the Leger poll, 2 points in the YouGov poll and 1 point in the Ispos poll. Trump, on the other hand, leads by 2 points in the McLaughlin poll and 2.6 points in the ActiVote poll.
Although the latest Cook Political Report national average released on Wednesday showed Trump ahead by 1.3%, Harris managed to cut Trump’s lead in half from the former president’s 2.7% lead over Biden.
The Leger poll shows Harris ahead by 3%, her largest lead among other candidates. The vice president leads Trump by 7 points, 48% to 41%, and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. leads the other candidates by 5%. This marks a significant drop in the number of voters who say they support a third-party candidate, from 12% in June to 5% in July. The Leger poll was conducted July 26-28 among 1,002 people and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
The Civiqs poll showed Trump trailing Harris by 4 percentage points, indicating that he has strong support among voters aged 18 to 49, while Trump is doing better with voters 50 and older. Harris has a higher favorability rating than both Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, with 43% expressing a favorable view of the vice president, 42% expressing a favorable view of Trump and 34% expressing a favorable view of Vance.
The poll also showed that most Democrats are happy to see Biden drop out of the presidential race, and overall, half of Americans think Harris has a better chance of beating Trump. However, more voters (45%) predict Trump will win, compared to 42% who expect Harris to win. The Civiqs poll was conducted from July 27 to July 30 among 1,123 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
