KUWAIT CITY, August 4: The Al-Ojairi Scientific Center has announced that a series of noteworthy astronomical phenomena will take place in the first week of August, which will be visible to the naked eye if weather conditions permit.
According to a statement obtained by KUNA, Mars will align with the star Aldebaran at 2 a.m. on August 4. Aldebaran is known for its huge size and distinctive orange color. The conjunction will remain visible until the sun rises and the morning sun dims the view.
Additionally, the Safar crescent moon will appear on August 4. The next day, August 5, Venus will conjunct the star known as the Heart of Leo, one of the brightest stars in the night sky. This conjunction will be visible in the western sky shortly after sunset and will set as night falls.
On Tuesday, August 6, the center also noted that Venus will align with Mercury immediately after sunset and will be visible in the west again, and the phenomenon will end during the night.
Skywatchers are encouraged to observe these astronomical events on clear nights in early August.
