The President of the Tennis Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Senad Hadžimešić, opened the 2024 ITF Sarajevo Open tonight.

– I would like to thank the organizers for their efforts in bringing the organization to a high level. I would also like to thank everyone who supported this tournament. Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomes everyone and I especially wish our players success. “I declare the tournament open,” said Hadzimesić.

By the way, the ITF Futures Series has a higher ranking than in previous years. This time the prize money is $25,000 instead of $15,000 as in previous years, and the winner will be able to win 25 ATP points. It was announced that 100 participants from 30 countries are expected.

The tournament is organized by GTA Sarajevo Tennis Academy and will be held at the Gabeljić Sports and Recreation Center in Hotonje from June 2 to 9 this year.

The first seed of the tournament is Ergi Kolkin of Turkey (ATP 251), the second seed is Zdenek Kolar of the Czech Republic (294), and the third seed is Jay Clarke of Britain (349).

After the qualifying rounds, the singles competition will begin tomorrow.
