The Sudan Justice and Equality Movement condemns in the strongest terms the despicable criminal attempt to assassinate Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, during the graduation ceremony of the 68th batch of the Military Academy and the 20th and 23rd batches of the Naval and Air Academy in the Jebet Military Region of the Red Sea State.
The Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) deeply regrets this cowardly act which resulted in the martyrdom of some members of the armed forces and the injury of others, and expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Sudan People’s Armed Forces and the Sudanese people. It expresses its condolences to the families of the victims of this heinous crime and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
May God protect Sudan and its people.
