National Express West Midlands reported the problem on Brook Street at around 8.30pm on Monday.
It was reported that the 80 bus service between Smethwick, Birmingham and West Bromwich had been disrupted.
The bus company posted on X (original Twitter) that the route has been diverted to Soho Way and will operate in both directions.
The statement informed passengers travelling to West Bromwich that trains had been diverted via Windmill Lane, Soho Way, Crocketts Lane and then continued along their normal route.
The statement also said that passengers travelling to Birmingham will follow the opposite diversion route mentioned above.
