Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar X said in a statement on social media that he met with Turkmenistan’s Energy Minister Annageldi Saparov and Turkmenistan’s Geological Service Director Gurbangeldi Garlyev as part of his strategic visit to Ashgabat.
Alparslan Bayraktar said during a meeting with the head of Turkmenistan’s Geological Service, Gurbangeldi Garlyev, that in addition to the ongoing cooperation in the gas sector, which he reported on, they also discussed steps to include the mining industry.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said during a visit to Ashgabat that the two sides shared strategies for electricity production in the coming period during a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Energy Minister Anageldi Saparov.
Alparslan Bayraktar said of the meeting: “We drew attention to the importance of reforming power connections with neighboring countries and the countries of the region, as well as electricity production. We seized opportunities for cooperation in these areas. Our long-standing good relations, together with Turkmenistan and the steps we will take in the power sector, I am sure it will change even more,” he said.
