Vehicle registrations fall in first quarter of 2024

Botswana’s motor vehicle registration data for the first quarter of 2024 shows a sharp drop in first-time registrations to 10,534, down 8.7% from 11,540 in the previous quarter. The decline highlights a continued preference for used Japanese cars as consumer preferences continue to shift, and reflects broader economic trends.
