The couple, in their 50s, had been battling the rodents that had infested their house for months, but to no avail. The traps didn’t work and the animals kept gnawing at them.
Rats aren’t exactly the most popular animals, although some people keep them as actual pets. But these animals are nothing like their counterparts who breed in sewers, emit stench, bite people and spread infection. To the horror of Andy Roberts and Rosie Glazzard, who live in Mount Bennet, near Worcester, quite a few of the latter group have decided to move in, and the married couple, in their 50s, now fear they will have to leave their home, which has been their home for 30 years, because of the rodents.
The invasion began last December, and the animals have thoroughly multiplied in the apartment, destroying furniture, chewing cables and, most unpleasantly, some specimens have crawled out of the toilet. Since then, Roberts has been afraid to go to the toilet, especially since the rats have attacked them several times. He has had his toes bitten, and his wife’s legs and buttocks bitten in her sleep.
The couple said they told the exterminators several times, and they also set traps inside the house, but to no avail, the rats continued to multiply.
