A woman complained to the Tedgu High Court (TGI) against her husband, accusing him of domestic violence. The husband was found guilty and sentenced.
After several referrals, the case was judged on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Dédougou TGI. At the request of the plaintiff, the court ordered a closed trial. But according to witnesses, the man was found guilty of the charges against him. The judge therefore decided that the perpetrator of domestic violence against his wife be sentenced to three months in prison and a fine of 250,000 CFA francs, all suspended.
