Donald Trump expressed the desire in a post on his social media platform “Truth Social,” which included a clip of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussing Assassination threats from the Islamic Republicduring a speech to Congress.
“If they ‘assassinate President Trump’ – which is always a possibility – I hope the United States will be able to eliminate Iran and wipe it off the face of the earth.” The former president wrote in a message on his Truth social network. “If this doesn’t happen, American leaders will be seen as cowards with ‘no courage'”he added.
In a speech to the U.S. Congress on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that “As we recently learned, they (Iran) have even threatened to assassinate President Trump.”
According to media reports, US authorities received information a few weeks ago that Tehran was plotting against Donald Trump. This served to strengthen the Republican’s protection. Iran has denied the allegations.
