According to a reporter from the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran, Netanyahu delivered a desperate speech to the U.S. Congress on Wednesday local time, calling on the United States to join hands with his regime to fight Iran and the regional resistance front that rises up against the aggressor.

“We are today at a crossroads in history and our world is in turmoil. In the Middle East, the Iranian axis of terror is confronting the United States, Israel and our Arab friends,” he claimed.

He continued his unconscionable rhetoric before a stony-faced audience: “This is not a clash between civilizations, but a clash between barbarism and civilization. It is a clash between those who glorify death and those who consider life sacred.”

He also accused Iran of funding anti-Israel protests in the United States, claiming that these protesters want to destroy the United States, “they even burned the American flag on July 4th.”

“You have officially become Iran’s useful idiots,” Netanyahu told Americans who took to the streets to denounce Israel’s crimes in the region, including the ongoing bloodshed of Palestinians in Gaza.

“They should be ashamed of themselves,” Netanyahu said of the pro-Palestinian protesters, many of whom, incredibly, chose to side with Hamas. “Some protesters held signs that said ‘from the sea to the river.’ But they don’t know which sea or river they are talking about. Not only do they not understand geography, they don’t understand history.”

He also urged Congress to speed up increased military aid as the Gaza war nears its 10th month, saying the United States must stand with his regime to defeat Hamas and repatriate remaining Zionist captives from Gaza. “When we stand together, one very simple thing happens: we win and they lose,” Netanyahu said. “My friends, I come today to promise you one thing: We will win.”

“Israel will fight until we destroy Hamas’ military capabilities and its rule in Gaza and bring all the hostages home. That is what total victory means. We will not be satisfied with that,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu’s call comes despite numerous critics of the Gaza war, including advocates concerned about the civilian death toll and Zionists who are demanding an immediate deal to repatriate the captives.

The United States remains Israel’s main backer in its genocidal war in Gaza, providing it with economic and military aid and covering up the regime’s crimes and massacres against Palestinians on the international stage, including at the UN Security Council. But President Biden has grown frustrated with the way Israel is conducting the war, especially amid the high Palestinian civilian death toll.
