Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic called on all members of the Serbian Parliament to support the Declaration on Protection of National and Political Rights and Common Future of the Serbian People, as it is the basis for further political struggle for the survival of the Serbian people in the difficult struggle of the Serbian people in this region and in Kosovo and Metohija.
In response to opposition Green Left Front (ZLF) deputy Radomir Lazovic’s claim that the All-Serbia Manifesto is a “nationalist pamphlet and a work of fiction,” Vucevic said it would be great if the problems and challenges facing Serbs were fictional, but that is not the case.

Vucevic said the Declaration does not solve all problems, but it provides a political basis and institutional approach for how to formulate national and state policies for all these situations.
He recalled that the monument to Serbian war commander Vukasin Soskocanin in Vukovar was recently demolished and stressed that the All-Serbia Declaration was a political response to the situation in the region and it was not good for parliamentarians to be divided over this issue.
Minister in charge of relations with the diaspora Dorje Milicevic said the Declaration is an important document of historical significance that defines the national interests of the Serbian people in the 21st century.
In response to Lazovic’s comments that the Declaration is “regime” and “nationalist”, Milicevic said that the Declaration clearly states that Serbs want peace and stability, they want to fight for improvement and talk to all those who respect Serbia, its economy and national interests.

Miloš Jovanović, a member of parliament from the NADA coalition, said of the Declaration that the problem is that the discussion of the document is not the only item on the agenda, but is included in 59 other items.
He added that the Serbian parliament should also decide on a resolution on Srebrenica, arguing that by any standard no genocide had taken place in Srebrenica and that the parliament should also declare that as well.
Jovanovic assessed that the pressure on the Republika Srpska will increase and become increasingly severe.
The next day, the Serbian Parliament discussed the “Proposal for a Decision on the Adoption of the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People.”
The debate on the Declaration is the first item on the agenda of the new extraordinary session of the Serbian Parliament, which has a total of 60 agenda items.
