Singapore will have the world’s most powerful passport by 2024, according to new data Henley Passport Index – Ranks passports from around the world based on the number of destinations their holders can visit without a prior visa.
The Singapore Travel Document allows holders to enter 195 countries and territories without a visa. French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish passport holders rank second, with visa-free access to 192 countries and territories.
Six European countries and South Korea ranked in the top three, with a total of 191 destinations available, while Portugal ranked fifth with a total of 185 destinations available.

The Macau passport didn’t make the top 10 (or even top 30) of the world’s most powerful travel documents. It tied with the Caribbean nation of Dominica for 32nd place, both of which offer visa-free access to 143 countries and territories.
The mainland Chinese passport ranks 59th, allowing Chinese citizens visa-free access to 85 destinations. Hong Kong ranks 18th, allowing Chinese citizens visa-free access to 170 destinations. Taiwan ranks behind Macau at 33rd (allowing Chinese citizens visa-free access to 141 destinations).
Meanwhile, Afghans have the world’s least powerful passport, with only 26 destinations offering visa-free access. Iraq and Syria rank third from the bottom.
