Jamaica Volleyball Association (Jawa) has officially announced the roster for the Jamaican U19 men’s and women’s teams for the 2024 CAZOVA U19 Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Championships.
This highly anticipated event will be held at GC Foster Sports Academy and the Sports Department will be held from July 26 to August 4, 2024, promising to showcase the exciting prowess of young athletes.
The CAZOVA Championship will bring together teams from across the region to compete for this honorary title. For Jamaica, the Championship is a great opportunity for young athletes to gain valuable international experience and visibility. After intense preparation, the selected players are ready to showcase their talents and proudly represent their country with the enthusiastic support of local fans.
Toshiro Jones will lead the men’s team
The Jamaican U19 boys team will be captained by Toshiro Jones of the Walmer boys. Joining Jones will be Joshua Auboine of Oracabessa High School, Schillachi Batchelor of St. Jago High School and Jordyn-Rhy Davis of Jamaica College. Other key players include Renaldo Doeman of Mannings School, David Douglas of the Walmer boys and Malik Ferron and Ajani Gordon of St. Jago High School.

The team included Jantje Neil and Edward Sterling from the Walmer boys, Ithran Softley from Papine High School and Nicholas Watson from Sunshine Coast Community High School.
Head coach Adrian Ramdeen will guide the boys through the tournament, with support provided by assistant coach Adrian James and team manager Travis Clarke.
The Jamaican U19 Girls team was captained by Kalia Baker from Paint Branch High School. Baker led a dynamic team that included Ria Bertram from Campion Academy, Patrina Chisholm from Wolmer Girls High School and Morgan Esmie from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School.

Women’s Team
Other strong competitors include Tashari Gordon from Knox Academy, Jada-Lee Grant from St. Jago High School and Mary Massias from Locke School. Winnifred Mitchell from Stouffville Regional Middle School, Quaciann Stewart from Walmer Girls High School and Treviann Taylor from Knox Academy will also contribute their talents.
The team consists of Ava Grace Troyer from Hiland High School and Hadijah Wallace from Knox Academy. Head coach O’Neil Ebanks will lead the girls team with Colin Rose serving as assistant coach and Erica Harris serving as team manager.
As Jamaica prepares for the 2024 CAZOVA Championship, excitement and anticipation are running high. The support of local fans is expected to play a key role in the team’s performance, pushing them to perform at their best on the international stage.
