Mr Uon Siloth cited the case of a cashew farmer in Kampong Thom province who had been growing cashews for nine years on 14 hectares of land, spending a total of more than 105 million riel (105,952,600) and earning 206 million riel (206,978,500), or a profit of 101 million riel.
Mr Uon Silot said that more than 14 million riel (14,785,000) can be earned per hectare, while spending 7,560,000 riel, with a net profit of 7.2 million riel.

According to the Cambodia Cashew Association, in the first six months of 2024, Cambodia’s raw cashew production exceeded 810,000 tons, of which more than 740,000 tons (744,300 tons) were exported to Vietnam, equivalent to 956 tons. , an increase of 29%.
The total cashew planting area in Cambodia is 700,000 hectares, of which 580,000 hectares are cashew planting area and 120,000 hectares are new land.
