Libreville, Monday, July 22, 2024 (Gabon News) – The Transitional President continued his republican tour in the Haut-Ogoué province last weekend. On Saturday, July 20, General Brice Clotel Origi Nguema visited the provinces of Lekoni-Lekori (Akiéni), Plateau (Léconi), Juori-Anili (Bongoville) and Lekabi-Lewolo (Ngouoni).
At each stage, the head of state is warmly welcomed and receives attributes of power from celebrities, just as local authorities grant him the keys to the cities he visits. In discussions with the population, the transitional president called on everyone to change their mentality and to unite and work together for the progress and development of their respective countries, starting with Gabon.
In addition, he assured the population of his commitment to promoting the well-being of the Gabonese people without any political or ideological inclination. In Akini, faced with the drinking water supply problems that plague the municipality, the Transitional President provided a fund of 424 million CFA francs to finalize the plan to install hydraulic pumps before officially starting the works at the gendarmerie in the Ombegue district.
In Lekoni, the head of state deeply understood the difficulties of the people and promised that all problems could be solved quickly. In order to find solutions to urgent cases, General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema presented a check for 338 million CFA francs to the Lekoni Town Hall. He also inaugurated the local hospital.
In Bongoville, the Transitional President had a frank, sincere and constructive exchange with the indigenous peoples before presenting a cheque for 354 million CFA francs to the sector to address the difficulties they face every day.
Finally, in Nguni, the last leg of his visit to Haut-Ogouvé, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema listened to the voices of the local population who expressed to him their daily difficulties. He also reminded them of the ambitious project of the Commission for Institutional Transition and Restoration, which aims to achieve the well-being of all Gabonese people without exclusion.
In addition, the Head of State presented a check for 335 million CFA francs to the city hall to enable the city of Nguni to complete road works and renovate the buildings of the local health center and schools.
After four days of listening attentively to his compatriots, President Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema ended his visit to the Haut-Ogoué province on Sunday, attending Mass at the Saint-Hilaire Cathedral together with the Christian community from Franceville.
