Kuwait City, July 22: A Misdemeanor Court acquitted a contractor of the charge of “breach of trust” for allegedly taking government-subsidized bricks that were meant for a citizen’s land in Al-Wafra residential complex.
Lawyer Jassim Al-Tuwaitan, representing the contractor, argued that the necessary elements for a breach of trust were missing. He explained that the contractor used the agency’s services after the agency cancelled the contract, and that the receipts in question predated that cancellation. Tuwaitan also highlighted that the complainant refused to pay the contractor KD 6,000 for the plot work and KD 5,000 for the swimming pool. This allegation was made only after the contractor demanded payment for these services.
