The scene of the incident was located in an alley next to Happyland Center Department Store. Behind the department store, the body of Mr. Kun, a 34-year-old Burmese painter, was found. He was wearing a white vest and black shorts. There was a knife wound on the left side of the neck and a knife wound on the left chest. The authorities conducted a preliminary examination of the body and then assigned volunteers from the Lum Gratitude Foundation to send the body to the Forensic Institute for an autopsy in accordance with legal procedures.
In this regard, by checking the images from the CCTV cameras, it was found that the perpetrator was a man, about 30-40 years old, wearing a gray-black long-sleeved shirt and dark pants. The assailant stabbed the deceased in the neck with a knife. The deceased then tried to chase him and attacked him in return. But after being stabbed, he lost too much blood. Before losing consciousness, the rescuers of the Siam Ruamjai Foundation tried to perform CPR for 40 minutes, but there was no response and he died later. The murderer absconded after committing the crime.
Investigations revealed that the deceased’s wife, Mrs. NANG HONE, a Myanmar citizen, said after watching CCTV footage that she did not know the man who had committed the crime before. At the time of the incident, her husband was in the room with another friend. When he walked out of the room, it seemed that he had an affair with the man and was stabbed to death.
Initially, officers coordinated with the Lat Phrao Police Station Investigation Department to search for the perpetrators based on descriptions found on CCTV cameras. Volunteers from the Ruamgratitude Foundation were also assigned to transport the body to an area believed to be home to Burmese people. The Institute of Forensic Medicine Police Hospital conducted the autopsy in accordance with legal procedures.
The attacker was reportedly a Thai man who was riding a motorcycle modified to look like a Harley Davidson motorcycle. CCTV footage captured the moment he attacked the victim’s friend on a motorcycle before pulling out a knife and stabbing the victim to death.
Investigations revealed that Mr. Tan, a 45-year-old Burmese citizen and friend of the deceased who witnessed the incident, said that before the incident, he and the deceased walked out of the room together to look for friends elsewhere. But when we arrived at the scene of the incident, the perpetrator was riding a motorcycle and said that the deceased walked in front of the car. Then he shouted in dissatisfaction. He then got off the car and punched and kicked the deceased. He tried to stop the deceased and tried to apologize but the perpetrator did not listen. Then he pulled out a knife and stabbed the deceased, and then ran away. In the past, he and the deceased had never had any problems with the perpetrator. I didn’t expect such a thing to happen when I didn’t know him before.
