Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – the Tax Administrations of Tuzla, Mostar, Ljubuški, Zenica, Bihać, Livno and Gorazde – conducted 121 inspections from July 15 to 20 this year, including activities of catering, trade and bakery businesses, as well as bathing and catering establishments in the same cities.

Controls are carried out not only on weekdays, but also in the afternoons and evenings of weekends to verify compliance with the fiscal system law and the employment of undeclared workers.

During the inspection, the Taxation Bureau inspectors found 80 unregistered workers, 9 taxpayers who had not installed fiscal equipment, 68 taxpayers who had not registered their turnover through fiscal equipment, and 8 facilities that did not have work permits issued by the competent authority.

14 facilities were closed, 104 misdemeanor orders were issued, fines amounting to 284,350 km, and one request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings were issued due to violations: employment of undeclared workers, failure to record traffic by tax equipment, failure to install tax equipment and unauthorized operations.

– In the coming days, the Federal Tax Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to control the legality of taxpayers’ operations and prevent the gray economy, therefore calling on taxpayers found to have committed irregularities to coordinate their operations and comply with the law in order to avoid sanctions and unnecessary costs, the Federal Tax Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
