Another 100,000 sets of ammunition will be delivered to Ukraine in July and August. This was announced by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky.
“During July and August we will send another 100,000 rounds of ammunition. Now we are looking for funds to buy new ammunition so that the program can continue in 2025,” Lipavsky was quoted as saying by the Czech News Agency.
According to him, it is planned to deliver 500,000 rounds of ammunition to Ukraine by the end of this year.
In February this year, Czech President Pavel announced that it would be possible to purchase 800,000 artillery shells for Ukraine in third countries if the necessary procurement amount was raised. Fifteen EU and NATO countries joined the Prague Initiative and allocated 1.6 billion euros for the purchase of ammunition.
