Engineer Wetumbiko Muba, a young and dynamic politician, has officially launched his campaign for the deputy chairmanship of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and unveiled a comprehensive 7-point manifesto promising to transform the party and the country.
“I am delighted to share my vision with the people of the country and I believe my campaign message is exactly what Malawi needs to move forward,” Mumba said.
Mumba’s declaration focuses on evidence-based policies, financial sustainability, empowering the Secretariat, inclusive participation and creating an enabling environment for the National Executive Committee (NEC).
“We need to move away from guesswork and rely on evidence-based policies to drive our development agenda,” Mumba stressed.
The vice presidential aspirant has taken his campaign to the northern region to engage with party loyalists and listen to their concerns.
His message resonated with the people and his manifesto stirred excitement among party members.
“Chakwera is the only president who is passionate about the North and seven of his ministers in his cabinet are from the North,” Mumba said at a political rally in Katoto Square in Mzuzu.
“His manifesto outlines a clear plan to revitalize the party, promote youth empowerment and drive economic growth.”
With his wealth of experience and passion for leadership, Mumba is poised to make a significant impact at the conference.
His campaign slogan, “#peopleOverPolitics,” captures his commitment to putting the needs of the people first.
“The Malayan Communist Party needs someone who can bring in the undecided votes, and I have the ability,” Mumba said confidently.
With the Maharashtra Communist Party Congress approaching, Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba’s campaign and manifesto set the tone for transformative leadership that prioritises the needs of the people.
The Malawi Congress Party will hold its congress in Lilongwe next month, where party members will come together to discuss policies, elect new members to the national executive committee and set the party agenda for the upcoming general elections.
