Lewis Hamilton (left) takes the 200th Formula 1 podium of his career and Oscar Piastri (right) takes his first Formula 1 victory at the Hungaroring.
Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris from the McLaren team finished first and second in the Formula 1 Hungaroring Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes also finished on the podium, with champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finishing fourth.
The most exciting moment of the race did come at the end, when leader Norris pulled back to overtake teammate Piastri for the win. Meanwhile, Hamilton and Verstappen were in a fierce battle for third place, and the last-ditch effort for the championship failed due to a tyre lock on turn entry, depriving Max of a chance for a podium. Hamilton drove it in the 200th Anniversary Road Race, and for Piastri it was his first win in Formula One.
